General
Transformers are designed by our expert engineers to meet specific technical requirements of our customers.
Transformer ratings, tapping voltage ratio, impedance, losses, dimensions, winding pattern and type of construction conform to Indian and International Standards.
Our transformers are designed to withstand stringent tests such as short circuit tests and lightning impulse voltage tests as per BIS / IEC standards.
Strict quality assurance ensures sourcing of the best quality raw materials and in-process checks during different stages of manufacturing.
Core
Transformer cores are assembled from prime grade cold rolled grain oriented (CRGO) silicon steel in various low loss grades.
Laminations are assembled using special jigs and fixtures to maintain minimum air gap, compact assembly and low noise levels during energisation.
Mitred joint cores are used to provide better magnetic paths with minimum reluctance. Core assemblies are clamped with heavy steel structures to reduce noise levels.
Maximum flux density is maintained as per customer requirements and relevant BIS / IEC standards.
Winding
All windings are made from electrolytic copper or aluminium conductors as per customer requirement.
Conductors are in the form of triple or double paper covered insulated strips and wires.
High quality insulating craft paper sourced from importers is used. Extreme care is taken in design, manufacturing process, insulation quality and drying.
Tank & Paint
Transformer tanks are fabricated from M.S. sheets with adequate bracing and stiffeners.
Internal surfaces are coated with oil resistant zinc chromate primer.
External surfaces are coated with epoxy primer followed by final enamel / epoxy paint for superior finish and extended service life.
Transformer Oil
Transformer oil is tested for resistivity, dielectric strength and acidic characteristics conforming to IS:335:1993.
Vector Group
Transformers are connected as per vector group reference Dyn 11.
Other vector groups can be offered as per specific customer requirements.
